Before becoming a lawyer, Sarah attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine on a full scholarship after graduating summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota with degrees in Chemistry and Microbiology. She completed significant medical training and passed the first step of the United States Medical Licensing Examination before ultimately pursuing a career in law.​ She later worked for nationally known attorney Kathleen T. Zellner, where she served as Forensics Director and worked on complex medical-malpractice and forensic litigation. Before attending the University of Chicago Law School, Sarah worked at the Law Offices of Kathleen T. Zellner & Associates, a nationally recognized litigation firm known for handling complex cases involving record-setting medical malpractice verdicts. 

 

As the firm's Forensics Director, Sarah's work required intensive examination of medical records, scientific evidence, expert opinions, pathology, and other technical evidence. She also worked on medical-malpractice litigation, including cases that resulted in seven-figure settlements. That experience shaped the way Sarah practices law today: understand the evidence completely, find the issue others overlooked, retain the right experts, and prepare the case as though it will ultimately have to be proved at trial.
